– Homage to Misty Copeland
Misty Copeland hurdled tremendous obstacles to become the first black principal dancer at a major dance company, American Ballet Theatre. One of the biggest obstacles was being told that she could never achieve greatness because “her body did not look right for a ballet dancer.” Misty inspires me and countless others to never give up on our artistic passions and pursuits; to trust in ourselves; and to always strive for excellence.
