Remembrance Art

Last year, Jeannie's 3 1/2 yr. old daughter, Aubrey, died suddenly in an accident. Jeannie wanted to commemorate and celebrate Aubrey with art that displays Aubrey’s precious Tinker Bell dress and shoes that laid on her dresser. Barb's son, Zachary, died of brain cancer at age 11. She wants to enjoy the cherished personal items of Zach's that are stored in boxes in the garage. Pattie treasures her daughter's personal items from infant to 20 years, particularly Erica's hunting jacket that she wore on her last day of life.

Each of these parents are at various stages of grief. When a parent loses a child, grief will always be with them. Personal belongings, photos, and grief is their only ongoing connection to their child. Many parents, such as these, want to enjoy their loved one’s belongings and memories through Gina's art.

Bereaved parents and grandparents find Gina through counselors at Angel Eyes (SIDS), The Denver Hospice, Compassionate Friends, Judi’s House, The Children's Hospital Denver, hospices, grief support groups and centers, chaplains, and word-of-mouth. However, many of these families have had devastating financial consequences as a result of the illness and death. All Alive on Canvas® sales and commissions helps support Gina in creating art for those with financial need.
